Indian Railways Passengers Can Now Relish Scrumptious Meals on the Wheels

The passengers of Indian railways can now enjoy scrumptious food on the wheels, as the authorities have regulated the food production standards. This will greatly improve the quality of meals served to the passengers. According to the reports, the government has tied-up with several vendors, taking a bigger step towards the betterment of Indian Railways. The set standards have been stringently implemented by the vendors.

Rajeev Mittal, railway contractor, whose chefs prepare 10,000 meals in a day, for the express Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains, everything is hygienic and clean in the kitchens. The chefs take special care of utensils, maintaining separate stocks for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The entire staff is well-trained, and the highest level of personal hygiene is maintained.

While consistent hygiene is largely welcomed, the homogenization of recipes has faced criticism in the past. To eliminate this problem vendors have taken their foot down. "We ensure to provide meals with authentic tastes because passengers know what certain dishes should look and taste like and we can't let them down," said railway contractor Rajeev Mittal.

Now the Indian Railways authorities have assured the passengers to provide tasty and hygienic food. Moreover, notable trains like Mahamana express and Humsafar express have supervisors who randomly taste the food provided on the trains. Rajeev Mittal has also appointed supervisors in all his kitchens, who taste the food before it is served to the passengers. (Rajeev Mittal's Comesum)

With this initiative, the rail passengers will have access to the best quality services in little time, and the quality of the food would be excellent, unlike what was served previously. According to the ministry, it is also an extension of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign to provide enhanced service to passengers traveling in trains. Indian Railway passengers can now enjoy their journey with good, healthy food served on the train.
