Comesum led by Rajeev Mittal RK Associates serves wide-variety train food on the go

Traveling via train is arduous, but I prefer wheels over wings because you get to see the regional culture change along the way. Starting from the  Khadiboli -speaking Delhi, I’ve seen the language change to  Bundeli  and then to  Bhojpuri  till I reach the state of Bihar. Sanitation and cleanliness have been drastically improved in the trains. However,  one thing that still needs a lot of development, is the catering service. Luckily, things are developing speedily. In the late 90s, I remember, train food looked like a poor man’s gruel, devoid of taste, accompanied by uncooked rice. Now, the quality has positively changed. Private players have been given a chance to work with IRCTC to bring the rail passengers restaurant-grade hygienic and delicious food. I tried Rail Restro, TravelKhana, and a few more companies that deliver food to passengers from local restaurants at a stop. The one that really stood out, was Entrepreneur Rajeev Mittal RK Assoc...

Aren’t train journeys the best? Sharing space with fellow passengers, munching on snacks and looking at the view outside are certainly the best things to do. Despite that, there have been a few roadblocks and IRCTC has received flak for the food quality, both on the stations and in the trains. Indian Railways, in a bid to improve its’ standards, has taken a few steps. Improving the food quality and avoiding overcharging by vendors, railway kitchens are modifying their working methods. Also, incorporating artificial intelligence, railways have made efforts to give the passengers an improved experience. Artificial intelligence IRCTC kitchens have been equipped with high definition cameras, vision detection systems and huge monitors. With 16 base kitchens formed so far,  IRCTC  is keen on bringing good quality food to the travelers. These systems will help track anything such as insects, rodents, etc., that hampers the quality of the food. They will also help in picki...

Private players and contractors like RK associates by Rajeev Mittal , Rail Restro, Deepak & Co, and Otik Food would look forward to the implementation of this system so as to assert the quality of their food items served onboard the Indian railways. “This system will facilitate easy detection of any rodent or cockroach in any of the base kitchens,” say industry experts at RK Associates. Also, such issues will reach the stakeholders and the IRCTC Managing Director in real time. The initiative taken by the railway aims to provide better food and catering ...

The passengers of Indian railways can now enjoy scrumptious food on the wheels, as the authorities have regulated the food production standards. This will greatly improve the quality of meals served to the passengers. According to the reports, the government has tied-up with several vendors, taking a bigger step towards the betterment of Indian Railways.
